Dance Classes for Kids and Teens in Berlin-Tempelhof

Everyone, young or old, big or small, loves to move to music. At Berlin Dance Institute in Tempelhof, we offer dance classes for children from age 3 and teenagers in a loving, supportive environment. Whether you live in Schöneberg, Tempelhof, Mariendorf, Friedenau, or Steglitz — our studios are just a 3-minute walk from S-Bahn Südkreuz, making us one of the most accessible dance schools for families in southern Berlin.

It is important to us that each child is supported individually and enjoys every lesson. Exercise matters — especially for children. Dance develops musicality, stamina, coordination, expression, and body awareness. From creative children's dance and children's ballet through to modern, funky jazz, and streetdance — your child can try all the different dance styles and give free rein to their creativity. All classes are taught by our experienced, caring teachers.

Once a year, all children are invited to take part in our annual performance.

Running, skipping, jumping, walking, and turning come naturally to children! They love to move and express their mood through movement. This joy of movement shows most when children dance. Creative children's dance is for all children who love imagination, movement, and dancing. In this class, children from age 3 can let out their natural urge to move. The lessons are playfully structured so that children learn different forms of movement and sequences to various rhythms and musical styles. Along the way, they develop an awareness of their own body, movement, and rhythm.

Every child dreams of being a ballerina. In children's ballet, the children are introduced playfully to the basics of classical ballet. Learning different arm and foot positions and getting to know the ballet barre are all part of the lesson. Small dances and movement sequences are learned, building posture, body awareness, musicality, and agility. So that children enjoy dancing for years to come, imagination and joyful movement are always at the centre.

This class is all about bringing coordination, expression, and personality into dance. In the warm-up, we learn different elements and dynamics — turning, jumping, and various tricks. Small combinations and choreographies across the room and on the floor are part of the class. Above all, dancing is about fun and passion. Here you can learn to dance with joy, creativity, and passion.

This class is about fast, groovy, and precise movement. It's a mix of classic jazz dance combined with streetdance. The training is versatile and lets kids move to today's cool music. Technique, coordination, strength, flexibility, and agility are all developed here.
