Anna Athanasiou is a greek professional dancer based in Berlin. Her career expands from productions in opera houses and theatres (Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, Komische Oper Berlin, DNT Weimar, etc), to independent projects in Germany and abroad. She is a contemporary dance teacher and choreographer in Berlin Dance Institute since 2016. Sharing her knowledge and love for dance with her students is her favourite aspect of the educational program. Anna is also a fully certified Pilates teacher and a member of the German Pilates Association.

Sarah Scholz

Sarah is a certified yoga teacher, movement pedagogue and professional dancer. She holds space for yoga, dance, contact jams, singing & music. In her presence you find an ecstatic and conscious practice.

Her aim is to bring joy, pleasure awareness and happiness to everyones life. She is an open hearted and positive human being. Her offerings are based on a holistic approach, you will find creativity, relaxation and mindfulness, whilst honoring each participants energetic level, to allow them to fully arrive in their bodies.

Sarah’s offerings & creation’s are in dance, yoga, sound & singing. As well in Women Circles, Cacao Ceremonies,

Kathinka Sonneborn

LECTURER CHOREOGRAPHY, IMPROVISATION, CONTACT IMPROVISATION, LIMON AND RELEASE.

Kathinka studied dance at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in London, where she graduated in 1994 with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre.

She continues her studies at the Phillipps University in Marburg where in 1999 she received her diploma in Motologin.

Kathinka has been working for 25 years as a movement therapist, dance teacher and choreographer with amateurs and professionals, children and adults at home and abroad.

During Kathinka’s career as a dancer she always had a profound interest in personal development. She strived to find ways to engage with people to accompany and teach them to become healthier happier people.

Since 2010 Kathinka works as Grinberg practitioner in her own practice in Kreuzberg Berlin. Kathinka lives in Berlin and is mother of two children.

Jessica Gaynor is a choreographer, performer, teacher and Artistic Director of Jessica Gaynor Dance. Founded in 2003, Jessica’s work utilize kinetic physicality, intricate patterning, and formal structures in an exploration of the complexities of human experience.

Jessica earned a BA from Brown University where she received the Weston Award for excellence in dance, and an MFA in dance performance and choreography from California Institute of the Arts.

Jessica’s repertory has been set on students at Brown University, Grand Canyon University, the Fieldston School, the Brearley School and Young Dancemakers Company. Jessica is also Artistic Director of Young Dancemakers Company, a tuition-free summer dance program open to NYC public high school students, with the goal of creating their own original work and performing in free concerts throughout NYC.

Jessica currently lives and works in Berlin and New York as a freelance dance artist. And as our repertory and improvisation teacher.

Luana is a Berlin based Italian choreographer, Dancer and teacher. Graduated at ArtEZ Danceacademie NL, and since then she has been dancing intensively for State theatres and for the independent scene as Nord/West Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg, Skånes Danstheater, Constanza Macras - Dorky Park, Cooperativa Maura Morales, Edd Wubbe, Ballet de l` Operá de Tunis, Stadttheater Gießen, Heike Hennig & Co., McDance Mayer - Chaffaud, Roberto Zappalà, Amos Ben-Tal, e.g..

Since 2013 Luana is active in Berlin by creating independent, socio-political dance-theatre projects; she has received production support from the Ministries of Culture of Berlin, Sachsen, Italy and Denmark, as well from the Dachverband Tanz and Fonds Darstellende Künste. Luana has been commissioned to choreograph for professional companies and she has been awarded prizes for her creations.

Luana has developed her own class method which combines diverse disciplines and contemporary dance techniques: the PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE. Based on applied Physics and Biomechanics, Luana’s class is renown among International dance companies and professional dance universities.
