Lecturer Graham

Quincy A. Junor (Brooklyn, New York) was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and began his training under the tutelage of his mentor, Gloria E. Moylan. He is a graduate of the FH LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (The Fame School, known from the musical Fame) and holds a BFA in Dance from the SUNY PURCHASE Conservatory of Dance. He has graduated from the Brooklyn School of Music, the Alvin Ailey School, the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, and the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School—all on full scholarships.

In 2002 and 2003, he was a finalist in the National Fine Arts Competition for liturgical dance. In 2004, he received the National Young Arts Foundation Prize in Choreography for his work The Chase. He has choreographed for the Genesis Dance Company, Purchase Repertory Theatre for their production of Derek Walcott's *The Odyssey*, and for the Neuberger Museum für Kunst. From 2004 to 2007, he was the resident choreographer for the Teatromania Acting Company.

Quincy has danced in works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Pat Catterson, Patricia Dye, Troy Powell, Kevin Wynn, and Nathan Trice, and has been invited to perform Mark Morris's Gloria and Lauri Stalling's The Great Quiet at the Kennedy Center and the Hong Kong International Dance Festival with the Purchase Dance Corps. He has performed for Dove, Stellar, and Grammy Award-winning gospel artists Alvin Slaughter and Dr. Pastor Marvin Sapp, has been a guest artist with the Errol Grimes Dance Group and Lane & Co., and is a member of the Genesis Dance Company, SYREN Modern Dance, and Riedel Dance Theatre.

After moving to Berlin, Quincy became Choreographic Assistant, Dance Captain and Dancer for choreographer Jeremy Wade in the musical and film production of Peaches Does Herself at HAU Hebbel am Ufer, dancer and Dance Captain for Peaches in her one-woman show Peaches Christ Superstar North America and Canada tour, and appeared as a guest artist for Nature Theatre of Oklahoma's Life & Time directed by Pavel Liska & Kelly Copper in collaboration with the Berliner Festspiele/Foreign Affairs & HAU Hebbel am Ufer and in the music video Make Believe by German artist Mignon Baer.

He co-directed and choreographed for German independent rapper RO! and Universal Records artist Simonne Jones. More recently, Quincy choreographed
for the upcoming fourth season of the ZDF neo-drama WIR , which will premiere in 2024. His television credits include the hit series Babylon Berlin (seasons 1, 2, and 4), choreographed by Julia Fidel and directed by Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries, and Hendrik Handloegten, and most recently, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin (season 1, episode 1), directed by Todd Strauss and choreographed by Julie Fidel.

Quincy has performed in commercials for brands such as MEDION Electronics, Captain Morgan x Berlin Ballroom Community (directed by Borbala Szelei), and Deutsche Bahn (directed by Hanna Maria Heidrich with choreography by Litza Bixler), featuring former Formula 1 driver and 2016 Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and singer-songwriter Iggy Pop, to name just a few. His co-produced three-channel installation Katharsis, created with his project partner Miguel Azuaga, has been shown at the UdK Berlin , the Museo de Arte de la Diputacion in Malaga, and was a finalist in the 8th edition of the Visio – European Programme on Moving Images by Artists at the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation.

Quincy is a lecturer at Motion*s Berlin (Graham Technique & Modern Dance), Studio29 (American Jazz), Flying Steps Diploma Education Program (American Jazz), and a guest lecturer for Gina Workshops Continuing Education Modern Dance Intensive Studies I.

Quincy is a dance lecturer in the Graham technique for the intensive program and the three-year professional program at Berlin Dance Institute.
