Berlin Dance Institute is an international centre of excellence in contemporary dance education, driven by the ambition to push the art form forward. Our international faculty consists of professional dance artists and lecturers who inspire the next generation to explore the full range of creative possibilities. Located in the heart of Berlin, BDI provides a supportive and dynamic environment where individuality and creativity are at the core of each student’s development.
Professional Education Programme
At BDI, we offer a 3-year contemporary dance education programme equivalent to a European undergraduate level, combining rigorous training with both curricular and extracurricular opportunities. Students collaborate with guest professionals and other artists while gaining real-world performance experience. In addition, we offer an intensive programme designed for those seeking a shorter, focused period of professional training or wishing to deepen their technical and artistic skills.

Dance Classes for Children & Teens
A central part of our community is our children’s programme. We offer engaging classes for children of various ages, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for movement from an early stage. These classes create a supportive and inspiring environment where young dancers can grow and express themselves freely.

Studio Rental & Berlin's Dance Community
BDI also offers high-quality studio rentals within its spacious and well-equipped facilities. Our studios are ideal for rehearsals, workshops, classes, and creative projects, serving both professionals and emerging artists. Alongside regular workshops and community activities, the institute fosters an open and welcoming atmosphere for Berlin’s vibrant dance scene.

04/04/2026BDI has 5 beautiful spacious, light and warm studios to rent. Our studios range in size from 80qm – 180 qm. All studios are free of columns maximising the use of the complete space.
